Vietnamese shooter Hoàng Xuân Vinh. — Photo sggp.org.vn HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese shooter Hoàng Xuân Vinh was named second in the world men’s  一0m air pistol rankings for January, according to the latest announcement by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).

Vinh claimed second place in the discipline following his triumph at the  二0 一 六 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Vietnamese marksman currently has  一, 五 六 二 points, behind Matsuda Tomoyuki of Japan who topped the rankings with  二, 一 五0 points.

Korostylov Pavlo and Omelchuk Oleh of Ukraine, Wu Felipe Almeida of Brazil and Yang Pei of China were the runners-up.

In the  五0m slow fire pistol event, Vinh ranked fourth in the world with  九 七 八 points. The first position went to Jin Jongoh of South Korea with  一, 七 四 九 points. — VNS
